Okay do you really have the Seagate HD? Cause it sounds to me liek you are trying this on the wrong HD... I dont know why it would be asking you to lock your HD when its already locked (unless you unlocked it sometime in your modding fun...). Even if you do have a Seagate HD and you want that extra space it really isnt worth it. Trust me 2 gigs holds pretty much nothing unless you are going to put Videos on it which the normal HD can do in the first place.

Their honestly is no easy way to find out. I dont think modding tells you your HD type (Agent ME please correct me if I am wrong) the only way is to open your Xbox which will void your warrenty. I think it is best just to leave your Xbox the way it is as it doesnt sound like you have a Seagate HD. If you do want to open your Xbox for this reason I will provide you the proper sites...

Just try to format F:, and if that doesn't give you an F section with 2 gigs of free space, then you have an 8 gig hard drive.

IMPORTANT: You might have to reformat X, Y, and Z drives as it may deformat those drives on an 8 gig hard drive.

(NOTE: You are extremely lucky if you format F: and you get 12 gigs...

Some PAL 1.1 Xboxs were shipped with 20 gig hard drives)
