| Haha, but seriously, what is up with that? I mean, I am not complaining or anything, but you would think I would rank down after losing the second game after ranking up from the first game which was a tie. |

| if you level up after you lose, then its usually because when you won the previous game, you leveled up, but it lagged and didnt show your rank after the game. |

| I leveled up 2 levels once from losing. It's all about lag, nothing else special. |

| That's not nearly as bad as going up 2 ranks after a loss. |

We've had this before.
In Bungies eyes we're all winners, we all gain experience, even from a lost game, so they credit you a small amount of experience even if you lose each game.
A guy also speculated that if you lost ever single game you would still eventually get a high level, which is in a way why the ranking system doesn't work. |

What exactly lags to make you go up levels when you lose? |

| Perhaps they have secretley altered the system, so that in our minds, when we go up a level, our brain releases a 'happy hormone' so it keeps us playing for longer. Is this bungie's new way of competing in this xbox 360 fuelled market? |

It was in Multiplayer.
It was something that messed up. [i.e. a glitch]
But ya, next time General would be better. |

| It's lag because sometimes, the game before, you may have won, but it said you lost, because of lag, or blue screen or anything. It could say you lost but you really won, but you didn't level up because the game says you lost. But then, after the next game, it alters this "glitch" in the system, and levels you up if you should have. But most likely if you loose, next round, then win, you may level dow. It's really wierd and hard to explain, it just happens alot. |
