I think I'm going to leave this site for awhile. Not sure how long, but I need a break. I've had to take a break from every forum I've been to since March 2002. Sometimes it's forever, and sometimes it's for 6 months. I don't know how long I'll be away from here. I just need to go enjoy life like I did during the summer. Spring is coming aroudn soon and I'm going to love it when it gets warm. During the summer I'm usually outside all the time and never inside, going on hikes and runs. When not doign that I would always read. The winter kind of shunned me inside and that why I've been here for awhile.

I haven't read a book in like 6 months maybe and it's really getting to me. SATs are coming up in April and I really need to build my vocabulary up again by reading.

So, I'll be leavign this site for an undefined amount of time now and after I finish a certain project with Korhal, I'll be gone for good until maybe the start of summer or end of summer. See you later ;)

If your speedrunning ability is any indication of your intellect, the SATs should be no problem.

You, my friend, will be missed.

Please drop by to say 'hi' when time permits - i still have a few tricks on Delta i'd like you to see.

*hugs scurty*

We all feel the same, I just can't cope with having to catch up with things when I return so I try to limit my away times.

From on pennsylvanian to another: enjoy the warming weather, enjoy the reading, and 'enjoy' the SATs. I remember those from 2 years ago... Whenever you get back, let us know how it went dude! Smile

Oh my. I felt sad after opening this page.. and that IS weird. I never feel sad when I open something like SDA or LF. To repeat myself: what a weird site this is.

We're all good buddies here at HSH, and scurty is no exception. He'll be missed, and it's sad to see him go. But he's not gone forever, remember that Smile. I made a couple comics in light of the situation:

The first very bad one

And a second for Yasha ^_^;

Study hard, scurt, hope you do well. And come back with like, 16 speedruns, will you please? Very Happy

EDIT: 33.

I... am in speedrunning heaven O_O_O!!

TV and everything is moved into my room, yay! I even have a VCR in here! Very Happy

I won't be buying my capture card for a little while, or setting up XBC or X-box Live for awhile (my dad is a little edgy at the moment, I wouldn't want to push it all at him @_@), so when my tape of runs is ready, I'll just cave and send it to you, Nok. Or insid, since he showed interest in my tapes too. But I think sending them across Canada would be a little better Razz.

I've noticed the TV I have is a little dark. Nothing TOO serious, but maybe a little anerving. I'm guessing it's possible to up the brightness a little bit when it's captured, or atleast I hope so.

Anyways, if I finish all my runs, I'll send a tape to either of you. I'm HOPING to buy a capture card for myself soon, but there's no guarantees on it. Time to start attacking T&R Very Happy.

you should be able to adjust your tv, but i won't have any effect on your runs, they should look fine

I can, and I have. I've turned the brightness up to max and it's still dark. Oh well, old TV, what can ya do? Good to hear it won't have any effect on my runs Razz. I'm just kinda worried about the quality is all.

Yeah, the only reason I would think it would affect your runs is if you record what the TV outputs (aka shakeycam).

Good luck with your runs, triclops. Wink

if ur going thru the VCR first, which i would assume u are, u wont see any difference in the recorded runs.

try changing the contrast on the tv... it and brightness work together to drastically change the picture... good luck.

Your VCR may have an adjustment for dark light and try to darken the room, that may help.

Doesn't really help. At random times my TV lights up and I can see everything fine, but other times it's impossible to see things. In The Library, I can hardly see anything. I'll have to permanently fix the lighting if I'm gonna redo my run Very Happy. Not too big of a problem at the moment, so no worries.
