Thats pretty cool. Some of those things they talk about could just be mistakes.

About how fast the slipspace jump took, maybe Covenant capitol ships have faster technology or weird timewarping technology so it seems the slipspace ends in a few seconds.

And also, this Halo is also orbiting the same planet the first one was, isn't it? (I forgot the name of the gas planet)

No, it's somewhere completely different.

The Halo's a scattered so that they destroy the integrity of the Universe when they're set off.

Pure luck? Ok...

So my idea is that while the main capital ships were attacking Earth, some random covenant scout found Delta Halo, so the attackers on Earth went there because 1) ITS HALO! They worship it and want to go to it quickly, and 2) they're retreating.
