I have my VCR problem taken care of with my new tv, and I have my Great Journey run taken care of. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a few runs to try so I could fill up the tape. I've only used up about 7 min...

Go on High Speed Halo, they have recommended runs there.
Is the site still down?

Actually... that'd take up several tapes... yes I haven't spent too much time on legendary *gasp*

Well... I could try Uprising once I reinstall the map pack and practice my sword flys.

I'm still having nightmares with rocket flood on Quarantine Zone.

I guess I'll try out The Arbiter. What difficulties are allowed for Halo in 77?

Halo in 77 is for Halo 1 - any difficulty, SP only

the rocket flood on QZ can be beat with some tricky ghost driving - here i found this in my old QZ No-Shot topic

in the area where the rockets are there is a pile of stuff (trees n rocks) Zykerti goes around it, i slide sideways - i think this breaks the target lock - i usually see the rockets fly over or behind me but they only hit one out of four or five times

Well, it can be for any difficulty, but the main focus is Easy. If a level can be beaten faster on let's say Normal (in Guilty Spark's case) or Heroic (in PoA's case), then that difficulty will of course be allowed Razz.

Speaking of Halo in 77 though, I got a guy over at SDA who says he's challenging your TB record insid O_O;

Nah. I noticed when I saw the project a few weeks ago. And I know you prefer H1>H2. Now if I could get that idea into a few heads...

Thanks NOKYARD. I always ran them over after the first 50 times I was blasted. Then I was left with a third rocket to deal with...

I'd recommend Great Journey Easy.

The run involves a little bit of everything. It involves the insta-boarding kill glitch. It involves jumpign across a pit. It involves sticking at least two brutes. It involves sword flying (for the brutes by the scarab). It involves killign enemies with the banshee quickly (wraiths). And it involves taking a boss into your own hands (using sniper).

Using my route you can beat flechette's current easy time of 7:36 I believe. Just be sure to grab the shotgun from the one elite at the final battle unlike what I did (I always get killed using it on Normal.. should be easier ot use on Easy).

Actually, the run on tape was GJ on easy. It should be 7:06 if I timed it correctly. It could cleaned up a bit... but I sort of lost my patience with the elite in the Spectre, the boarding throws, and the sword cancel in the hall. I thought the hardest part would be the jump across the gap, yet oddly enough I've been blasted out of camo and still made it across.

I use either one actually. Is the shotgun really faster? I always use stickies on Tartarsauce now to try to speed things up so I can't tell.

not to interupt all the halo 2 talk, but just wanted to respond to slynk.
(i'd pm ya slynk, if your %full wasnt so precious)

anyways... who is he, does he have a recorded run, and what time
is he claiming to have?? hopefully it doesnt shoot us down to
like 75 minutes... but if there's no significant difference, and his time
is a few seconds better, i'll be using my run in the compilation vid.
not to be selfish, but nok and i agreed on this a while back... gotta
do something new and significant if you're gonna steal the record.
especially if the last record-breaking run was new to everyone.
unless everyone's been actively trying to shave seconds off, like say,
in pillar of autumn.

but in the end... id love to see a faster run... long levels have lots of
potential of going down in time... hook me up with a link if there ever
is one.

My inbox does rule... And for some reason that chain of questions is really hard to answer Huhwha?

To start, he hasn't bested either of your times, and he doesn't have a run on tape. Pretty much nothing. I don't know much about his Halo skills to tell you the truth, I'm kind of in the dark. I told him about your times, and later on he said he a got a 12:30 for TB on Easy. I don't think you have too much to worry about, neither does Halo in 77 Razz.

I'll tell you if he happens to spring an amazing time. I'll also inform him of what you're doing with TB in Halo in 77. Lastly, I told him to come here if he happens to do anything amazing, and if he just wants to tell us of his possible progress. We'll see if he comes around.

EDIT: I had something to say about Halo in 77, but I'll post it in the topic. Sorry to interupt the Halo 2 talk, carry on Razz. If you have any other questions insid, we should just flood the 77 topic.
