k.. ive been looking around but havnt found anything about what im looking for. i havnt played any bungie games before halo 1 so i guess im lost
What happens / happened with the acronyms and why are they so important (besides giving us the first letter of the skulls names...)? |

well we're just guessing that they are the start of the skull names. ppl suggested that it gave us the order to collect them in..
Um apart from that.. they're just a clue to new gamemodes (maybe) and to the skulls themselves |

| past acronyms have only been phrases which the bungie employees used or thought was funny or something like that during the production of whatever product you are playing. |

| There is a link out there to all the existing acronyms and all the known awnsers, but i dont happen to know that link. In other words, Halo and Halo 2 were not the first bungie games to have acronyms, they have been used by bungie since their first game I believe. |
