Okay, from my experience in Halo hump launching I have some theories...

1. When you hump you add inertia -- meaning, that the wraith is supposed to move becuase you hump, but since its frozen, it gets stored, or something like that

2. Physics only go so far--meaning, that when you move away from things that use the Havok engine, they will eventually freeze, even if they need to get to natural rest (go to headlong, and hit one of the hanging structures with a rocket, and see where they end up freezing, usually not where things stop in the normal world.)

3. When you move close to something, the physics come back--meaning, if you were to hump launch, and break the physics barrier, then physics would come back, and you would have it launch

4.The Hog freeze trick--I think (assuming it isnt modded) it hits the barrier, and proceeds to lose physics (and assuming the wheels do not spin, giving it some physics)

5.Tantrumming--same thing, but with no wraith... I think the game makes you jump for just long enough to lose physics


I think this trick is a combination of the two...

That's the nature of theories... they're theories, just that. I try to describe the nature of how the Halo physics engine works without seeing it's source, or even reading anything on the Havok engine, but using experience.

But, still, I stand by my thoeries.

I agree..i couldnt get the IWHBYD skull for a while..doesnt mean i discredited it
