finally.. sub 4:20 on tape!
actually its on a harddisk... but get it onto yours also! Very Happy

im so corny its ridiculous.

here it is.

some notes:

this was my 3rd attempt of the morning... first attempt, i got 4:25,
and said wow, what a good morning already, lol. but it was sloppy,
so i tried again. 2nd attempt i died somewhere in the middle.. shut up.
so i had been playing for about 8 minutes before this successful run,
so if you notice, i dont quite have my own sensitivity figured out yet,
i run into a few walls, and my reticle is a bit spaztic around turns, but that
warrants no slow-down.

the plasma nade jump... scary doing so with almost no shield,
so i almost died... but its the fastest way to do it i think.
the nade SHOULD be on the 2nd to last stair.... that is, 2 steps
down from the platform u jump off. if not, the explosion will likely
NOT even touch u... and u wont make it. the collision model on the stairs
is a bit shoddy... so if u wanna try to do it this way (slYnk Wink), make sure it
hits the 2nd stair.

the ending was amazing... personally, i've never done it faster.
everything died when it should have, so i was extremely happy.
all in all... the run was perfect in my book, save for the few times
i couldnt control my thumbsticks.

enjoy!

Sweet, downloading now.

EDIT: Well, everything I thought that was lacking about the old run was implemented here. Sweet Vid, well done.

Wow....I really liked the grenade jump on the stairs.....everytime I try that...an elite jumps to the edge of platform and I can't get up....grr....

Overall...awesome run!

It was 4:45. That run was great, insid. I saw little aspects from my Easy run in there too Razz. I loved the jump past the marine. That was just... O_O. I don't think there's any real speed-up when it comes to the grenade jump. I always felt my frag was faster, because it carried me farther, but that seemed just as fast. The fighting was great, and the run as a whole was just great. But if you're heading for that 4:17, I have some suggestions. Little tidbit things, that may not ammount to a significant drop, but they're something.

The doors at the beginning, you don't have to stop for that half second and keep on running. You can run to the right side of the door, and strafe left and keep running straight on through. I do it once in my Easy run. Then there's the ducking, but honestly, that doesn't matter at all.

Cutting corners may ammount to a 1 second drop overall, but I doubt it. There's already the aspects of the run you know about, which is running into that wall once, and running into an elite. But honestly, that happens every single PoA run, so it doesn't really matter.

Overall, I was very impressed, as I am with all your runs. Now, time to watch Halo! Smile

yea... i have an excuse though.
i was walkin into stuff and aiming all weird - as if i was drunk.
but i just woke up. i was warm enough to do the important stuff.. but
still sloppy. oh well.. i shall keep working at it.

and oh... the doors. theoretically, if (after my tiny stop) i pass thru the doors
as soon as its physically possible, and so do u with your little strafe,
then it should equate to the same thing.
sometimes i do a REALLY short stop and i still bump into the door... so i KNOW im
cutting is as close as i can be. its just been a habit since i was annoyed
at running into the doors when u hold straight forward. ill try ur way though, and see what i think.

thanks for the comments
