So I had about a 27" TV and i just used regular composite cables in and out of my capture card and could play fine, but now i have a 12" LCD and i cant see crap with just the regular composiste, so i put in the component cables, now i can see fine but i have no way of capturing video, so here are my options :
A) Switch Cables everytime i want to record, and be stuck with crappy output quality, so no hope of ever making a montage.
B) Buy a new CC that can input and output Component, life is good, just cost some $
C) Somehow find a way to use my xbox monitor output and maybe find some way to capture video that way?
D) Other, is there any other way?

Thanks for all help

I think those are the only three options.

I would go with buying a CC that can handle composite. I myself have composite cables for my Xbox, and everytime I want to record I switch 'em, but that isnt hard because I have a receiver (sp?). May I ask you why you chose a 12" over a 27"?

Go with getting a CC

if its a montage your making i run my cables through a vcr and record every match on tape. Then after a few tapes i go back through the tapes and put what i want to keep on my computer. Then i simply repeate the process

Wasnt really a choice, was i had to get rid of the 27", i already have a 42" plasma but its to big to play on, yeah a tv can be to big, at least for me, and the 27" blocked part of it, so my dad told me i had to get rid of it, and he gave me the 12" LCD which has good TV quality, but horrible composite quality, so only component works well...

Does the TV have an S Video input? Is the new TV widescreen? IT may be the TV altering the size that makes it look so bad.

Yes it has S-Video, i dont believe its widescreen, however you can change the aspect ratio to 4:3 and 16:9 although when you do that its like playin on a 8" screen. ill play around with the xbox settings
